Community News

Community Council

The Area Manager of the Co-operative attended the last meeting on Monday 11th March. He listened to our concerns and agreed to go away and try to resolve them.

The Community Council is to request a visit from Transport Scotland for an update on their plans for dualling this stretch of the A9.

We have been asked by the police to publicise their new Non Emergency telephone number. The number is 101, costs 15p per call and will connect you to a police service centre in your local area. You can phone this number to seek advice, speak to a local officer or to report a crime which does not need an emergency response. The emergency number remains 999.

May we also remind you that you can report problems such as pot holes etc direct to Perth & Kinross Council on 01738 475000.

Full minutes of our meetings can be viewed at the Library in Birnam. Our meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the Birnam Hotel at 7.00pm and members of the public are welcome to attend.
